Baker & Taylor Acquires J.A. Majors

In September Baker & Taylor announced its acquisition of J.A. Majors Company, a private distributor of medical and scientific books founded in 1909 by Dr. J.A. Majors. The acquisition will provide an expanded inventory of medical material for our customers.

Majors Scientific Books, Inc., an independent corporation running medical bookstores in Dallas and Houston, will continue under the current ownership, and as such is not a part of this acquisition.
