Biography - Paul Dumont

Paul Dumont has been Director of Educational Resources Support Services at Dallas County Community College since 1998, after serving as Director of Technical Services there for over 20 years. He held previous positions at Dallas Public Library, San Antonio College Library, and St. Francis College Library (Maine). He received his MLS at The Catholic University.

Mr. Dumont has been active with the ALA Office of Research, and on numerous boards and committees of the American College Research Libraries and its Community and Junior College Library Section. He has also chaired and served on many state and regional library association boards and committees over his many years in the field, and has written for numerous professional journals. In addition, he received the ACRL, CJCLS, EBSCO Community College Learning Resources Achievement Award in 1992. Mr. Dumont is currently running for President of ACRL.
